In the early 1990s, PICKBOY had its office on the upper floor of the legendary live music venue "Whisky a Go Go" on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. At that time, Los Angeles was a hub for diverse guitar culture, including rock, hard rock, and heavy metal, which was being broadcast to the world.

Born in that atmosphere, PICKBOY picks feature numerous graphic designs that symbolize the culture of the time, including street art, tattoo culture, and skull motifs. This series has been beloved by guitarists who love rock and metal, and has walked hand in hand with the live music scene.
