Data required for submission

For full-color print orders, please provide two types of data: "design data" and "position specification data".

Design data

This is the original data for the photos, illustrations, logos, etc., that will actually be printed.

Location-specified data

This data is used to determine the printing position and size on the pick.

Three key points for a beautiful finish

1

Create a plaster layer

If you are printing a background or photo across the entire surface, please extend the image beyond the trim line.

2

Use high-resolution images

Enlarging a small image may result in a blurry image when printed.

3

Use a PNG with a transparent background.

If you only want to print the motif, please provide a PNG image with a transparent background.

Let's create a bleed area.

When printing photos or background colors across the entire pick, extend the image beyond the trim line, extending it to the bleed line.

The background only extends up to the trim line.

If the image ends at the trim line, the base color of the pick may be visible due to slight positional differences during manufacturing.

Extend the background to include the bleed area.

Please extend the photo and background color up to the bleed line of the template.

Please place text and logos on the inside. Important text, logos, and motifs should be placed slightly inside the trim line, rather than right at the edge.

Please provide a high-resolution image.

If the image data resolution is low, the outlines and photos may become blurry when the design is enlarged. Please provide the largest and clearest original image possible.

Enlarged example of a low-resolution image

When you enlarge a small image, jagged edges and blurring become noticeable.

High-resolution image

The larger and clearer the original image, the better the print data you can create.

If you only want to print the motif

If you only want to print a logo, illustration, or other motif, please provide a PNG image with a transparent background.

If the image data includes a white background, the background will also be included in the printout.

Background transparent PNG

By making the background transparent, you can print only the motif.

You can also create data on your smartphone.

If you don't have design software for your computer, you can create the data using the smartphone app "ibisPaint X".

ibisPaint X

You can load a template and then arrange photos and illustrations to create your design.

*App specifications and screen displays may change with updates.

STEP 1

Load template

Save the PICKBOY design template to your smartphone and open it with ibisPaint X.

STEP 2

Place photos and illustrations.

Load the image you want to use and place it in the pick box.

STEP 3

Expand the image to include the bleed area.

For full-page prints, extend the photo or background to the bleed line.

STEP 4

Create location-specific data

This creates data that allows you to check the print position while displaying the template and design together.

STEP 5

Export design data

Export the source data for printing. If you want a transparent background, save it in PNG format.

Common examples of unacceptable submission data

× No bleed area

The background and photos are only created up to the final trim line.

× Low image resolution

They are using small images that have been greatly enlarged.

× White background remains

I only want to print the motif, but the JPEG file has a white background.

× The text or logo is too close to the edge.

Important design elements are placed right at the edge of the trim line.

Please check before submitting your order.

  • Have you prepared the design data?
  • Have you prepared the location data?
  • For full-surface printing, does the image include the bleed area?
  • Are the letters and logos positioned with ample space from the edges?
  • Are you using images with sufficient resolution?
  • If only the motif is included, is it in a transparent PNG format?

Once the design data is complete

Please prepare your design data and positioning data and submit them via the custom-made pick data submission page. We will review the content, and if there are any problems, a PICKBOY staff member will contact you.

Submit the design data.
