1. Easy to cut, of course, 2. Easy to grip, 3. Lightweight, 4. Easy to store—it's all good. Of course, if you go to a home center, there are cheaper nippers with better cutting performance, but I think it's rare to find one that balances all four points above. If used normally, it will hardly wear out, but if I have to buy string nippers again, there's a high chance I'll buy this one again.
I used to use pliers. Compared to that, this is lighter and easier to handle. I believe it won't damage the guitar.
This cutter is easier to grip and fits my hand better than any cutter I've used before! It's very easy to cut with. Also, the spring's resistance is perfectly light and just right. My wife, who was beside me, was surprised by how much easier it is to grip compared to the cutter she used before.
