In 1967, PICKBOY® began making guitar picks out of genuine tortoiseshell.
PICKBOY® was the first to start the now common practice of classifying guitar picks by shape, gauge, grip, and design.

PICKBOY® guitar picks are made from a variety of materials, from basic, high-quality celluloid to new materials such as our original Celtex material, nylon, ceramic, polyacetal, and carbon graphite, as well as natural materials such as horn, bone, exotic wood, and semi-precious stones, and are chosen by many guitar players who want to create their own unique sound.

PICKBOY® also offers guitar accessories. We have added many original ideas to familiar accessories such as capo dust, pick cases, pick holders, bridge pins, and guitar slides, striving to develop products that are even more user-friendly.

History of PICKBOY

The story of the Japanese brand that transformed guitar picks into the tool of choice.

The company was founded in 1967, making guitar picks from genuine tortoiseshell.
Guitar picks were once simply accessories, but we began to produce and distribute them with a focus on quality and design, and have established ourselves as an accessory brand that is indispensable to guitar playing to this day.
As we worked to improve the quality of our guitar picks, including printing the logos of long-established guitar manufacturers and accessory brands, we began developing, manufacturing and selling our own brand, "PICKBOY."

PICKBOY has supported the early days of Japanese folk songs and group sounds and has earned a strong reputation both at home and abroad for the quality of its music.

The brand has been exhibiting at overseas trade fairs since the 1970s, and is supported by many fans in Asia, mainly in Europe and the United States.
